Aerial Photography

Fugro-BKS owns and operates its own survey aircraft (Piper Aztec) which is fitted with an Intergraph Z/I Imaging® DMC® Digital Mapping Camera. It also has access to additional survey aircraft and helicopters through a network of established partners. All imagery is flown to RICS standards.

These services can be offerd as a standalone service or as part of a comprehensive mapping project. We offer full photo-lab facilities for black & white and colour film processing, and provision of high resolution digital scans from aerial photography film.

Fugro-BKS holds an archive of historical aerial photography for certain areas of the UK and Ireland.

Fugro-BKS laser mapping services provide, a rapid, highly-accurate method for aerial mapping applications such as generation of digital elevation models, topographic contouring and automatic feature extraction.

Fugro-BKS has access to both fixed wing and helicopter based LiDAR systems, and has provided terrain data for flood plain analysis, highway design, and environmental purposes.

Satellite/Remote Sensing

With its ever improving resolution, satellite imagery offers an up-to-date source for landuse/cover, natural resources mapping, agricultural analysis and engineering feasibility studies.

With our knowledge of the commercial imaging satellites, Fugro-BKS can select the appropriate sensor, perform archive searches and ordering, and custom-process the imagery to meet your requirements.
